- Don't get in over your head. Stick to tables that have a minimum you're comfortable with. I bad run at a high minimum can have a very bad effect on your bankroll.
- Keep your hands to yourself! You don't want to disrupt the game by getting your hands in the way of a toss. Keep them off the table when the dice are being thrown.
- Don't get in the middle. The proposition bets in the center of the table have a high house advantage. Some carry a casino craps advantage as high as 16%!
- Pick up after yourself. It's your responsibility to pick up your winnings. Don't expect the dealer to hand them to you.
- The optimum long play strategy is to make Pass/Don't Pass and Come/Don't Come bets.
- Place the six or eight to win in multiples of $6. These are the only worthwhile place bets on the craps table.
- Never make a Line or Come bet that you can't back up with full Odds in online craps gambling. The Odds are where you can minimize the house edge.
- Keep it to yourself. If you are a Don't Pass bettor never yell, "Come on, seven!" It's extremely rude to root against your fellow players.
- You may need to ask the dealer to place some wagers for you.
CRAPS STRATEGY
One of the good craps strategies commonly used is to make ‘pass line’ bets or ‘don’t pass’ bets by placing the true odds bet once the point has been established. - Eleven: You win if an 11 is thrown. Pays 15:1
- Ace deuce: You win if a 3 is rolled. Pays 15:1
- Aces/Boxcars: You win if a 2 or 12 is thrown. Pays 30:1
Horn Bet – These are bets made on 2, 3, 11 and 12 and placed all at once. A player wins if one of these numbers is rolled. The pay-off is determined by the number rolled. The other three bets are then lost.
Hardways - The bet on a Hardway number wins if it is thrown the ‘hard’ way before the ‘easy’ way or a 7 is rolled i.e. as a double. A Hardways bet on 8 will win on 4-4, and lose on 7, 6-2 or 5-3.

It is common craps etiquette on the part of the player who is offered to shoot the dice to pass them to the next player so that no one is offended.

Another significant bets include the come and they don´t come bets that are quite similar to the pass bet but their results cannot be decide on the outcome of the roll. The odd bets are additional bets that can only be placed after the establishment of the points. Then there is the big 6 and the big 8, the horn bet, the crap-s twelve, the final bet, the win bet following the list. But the basic classification of the game is done on the basis of two categories; the proposition bets and the place buy &lay bets.
Craps gambling actually is an easy game to learn. An understanding of the basics of the casino craps gambling and how to make a passline bet will get you started on your way. To get started playing craps, all you need to understand is the basic passline bet.
Passline Bet
A simple passline bet works like this. You place your bet on the passline before a new shooter begins his roll. This is known as the come out roll. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11 you win. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, you lose. If the shooter rolls any other number, that number becomes the point number. The shooter must roll that number again before a seven is rolled. If that happens, you win even money for your passline bet. If a seven is rolled before the point number is rolled again, you lose.
Odds Bet
Once the point is established the bettor can make an additional bet behind the passline bet. This is known as the "Odds Bet." It is the only bet in the casino that does not have a house edge as it is paid off with true odds. Most casino craps gambling online or offline offer double odds, which mean you can make a bet twice the size of your pass line bet. If you passline bet is $5 you are allowed to make an odds bet of $10.
The odds bet is paid as following:
If the point is 4 or 10 it pays 2 to 1
If the point is 5 or 9 it pays 3 to 2
If the point is 6 or 8 it pays 6 to 5.
A passline bet is the simplest bet you can make on at the craps table and it will get you on your way to playing this exciting game. An easy way to learn how to play craps is to take advantage of the free lessons offered by many of the casinos. The instruction will give you the basics and also show you some of the table etiquette that will make you feels more comfortable approaching the table.
CASINO CRAPS
Take a look around the casino and observe the games and the patrons playing them. In the Baccarat pit you will likely see the tuxedo clad sophisticates. Scholarly types will be seen sitting at the blackjack table studying their hands while the roulette players sit quietly watching the ball spin towards its final resting place. Then from the casino craps pit you will hear whooping and hollering as you see high-fives and other animated gestures coming from the players. Many people find crap gambling intimidating because the players are directly involved in the outcome. There are actually just a few simple rules for rolling the dice. Make sure you only handle the dice with one hand when throwing.
This is so the casino craps gambling online can be assured you're not trying to switch dice or any other funny business. When rolling the dice, the thrower, or shooter, tosses to dice across the table to the other side. The dice must hit the walls on the opposite side of the craps table for the roll to be valid. Do worry if you don't hit the other end or even if the dice fly off the table. This happens every now and then and no one is going to think any less of you if it happens to you. You don't have to take a turning throwing if you don't want to or aren't feeling particularly lucky. Just pass and the dice will move on to the player to your left.
The first roll of a new thrower's round is known as the "Come Out" roll. The roller is basically attempting to make a point. The thrower makes a point by rolling a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. If a 7 or 11 is rolled before the point then the roll is a winner. If a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled then the rolls loses. A player's roll is not over until he or she rolls a 7 after making a point, called "Seven Out". Once you seven out your roll is over. After the point is made the dealer places a puck marked "On" above the point number on the craps table. Once a point is on, players can then place odds and a variety of other bets.
The Rules for craps Betting
Another intimidating side of craps is the sheer number of betting possibilities a player has. If the betting seems overwhelming then try starting with a few simple bets. Once you become comfortable with these bets you can add more to your craps game plan. Below are the rules for the different types of bets you can make in craps.

If you forget what the point number is, just look at the place bet number on the craps table. The point will be marked with the "On" puck. This bet can only be made when a player begins rolling before the point is made. To make a pass line bet place your wager on the pass line in front of you. The bet cannot be removed until the point is won or lost.
Don't Pass Line Bet
This is the opposite of the pass line bet. If the first roll of a dice is a natural (7, 11) you lose and if it is a 2 or a 3 you win.
